The Croft Magazine // Elin Alexander sums up the best and worst of Christmas jumpers available this year.

Although the lead up to Christmas this year has been a little complicated, to say the least – I think it’s safe to say that we’re all craving that festive spirit. One of my personal favourite things to do to feel festive is to dig out my Christmas jumper and throw on some Mariah Carey, so to help you do just this, here are some of the best (and the worst) selection of jumpers available this year.

The traditional one

Threadbare christmas fairisle roll neck jumper, £20 | ASOS

If you’re more into patterned knitwear with some traditional snowflakes, then this fairisle jumper from ASOS, could be right up your street. It also features baubles and the words 'Merry Xmas' in a festive red which will get you right into the Christmas spirit.

The 'I took it too far' one

Rude Christmas jumper size small, £35 | eBay

There’s always that one person at the party who comes with something a little questionable printed on a t-shirt or jumper. Well, with this sweater from eBay, you’d certainly stand out as one of those people! The bold ‘pull my cracker’ slogan as well as a tasteful Santa with his dick dangling elegantly from the bottom really paints a festive picture. And if that wasn’t enough, there are lights too!

The sustainable one

Cat Christmas Sweater, £32.99 | Etsy

This independent business aims to create affordable, sustainable products. This jumper is made from 80% organic ringspun combed cotton and 20% recycled polyester and is 100% plastic-free! It also offers an array of colours, and so there is an option for everyone! Purchasing this one is a really great way to start making more sustainable choices!

The quirky one

Everyone loves a cheeky play-on-words and this one was my personal favourite. There are plenty of jumpers out there with quirky slogans which put a more modern spin on the traditional holiday.

So, there you have it - an array of Christmas jumpers to choose from in preparation for those themed Zoom parties over the holidays!
