Sportswear for a practical yet fashionable workout

The Croft Magazine // Helena provides us with the key to a successful workout - stylish sportswear!
Every year when January 1st arrives, I give the classic: ‘no, but this year I’m actually going to start gyming, I swear’! But as the week rolls by I lose this motivation and end up saying: ‘Ok… maybe next year!’. However, this year, I’ve finally cracked the secret to gym success - a cute outfit! Even though gyms are still closed in lockdown, motivate yourself by wearing nice workout clothes. If you want to try this trick, then here are some of my favourite activewear sets at the moment:
We are TALA set
TALA is a sustainable and affordable slow fashion leisurewear brand created by fitness goddess Grace Beverley (formerly known as GraceFitUK). The sportswear sets are created for women of all shapes and sizes, so are all super flattering and high quality. I personally love this grey set from the new SkinLuxe range which uses special technology to mould to your body. The material is so silky soft, you’ll never want to take it off. This is the perfect sustainable and stylish option!
PLT Pink Set
I own this set, so trust me when I say it’s the most flattering fit ever. The leggings have a ruched detail on the back making even the smallest of derrieres look Kardashian-esque, and the triangular waist detail cinches in your waist to give the perfect hourglass shape. This peach shade is newly released, so grab it whilst stocks last! This set is affordable and attractive – what more could you want?
Nike Yoga Pants
If you’re not a fan of tight leggings, how about these flared yoga pants from Nike? Made from sustainable material with Dri-FIT technology, these leggings are a staple for every practice. They are also so comfortable they’re perfect for wearing them for lounging around the house.
Nike and NB Running Shoes
My goal for this month is to smash 10,000 steps every day and to be honest, walking around in my Air Force 1’s just wasn’t cutting it. So, I invested in a pair of good running shoes, and I would highly recommend these Nike ones - they are cushioned with a plush, ventilated design and come in various colours, so you don’t have to comprise style for comfort! If you want something cheaper, take a look at these new balance trainers which you can buy with 20% off student discount .
Now you have every reason to motivate yourself to jump off the sofa! You have no excuses now!
