Review: Giggling Squid

If you’re wanting some Thai food, Giggling Squid located in the heart of Clifton Village is the perfect place to go!
It is a very homely restaurant with a bustling atmosphere. We went here on a Wednesday evening and despite it being mid-week it was very busy – so be sure to reserve a table! The staff were very polite, seating us very quickly upon arrival, and were very attentive for the duration of our time at the restaurant.
The menu had a very wide range of dishes, with a great selection of drinks, starters and mains.
For the starters, there was a very big list of things to choose from, which was unlike other restaurants which usually have quite a limited starter menu. The prices of starters averaged around £7 a dish. We ordered the ‘chicken satay’ and the ‘salt and pepper squid’ which were both delicious, my favourite was the squid and I would definitely recommend getting this if you go!

For the mains, there was again a large range of food and they divided the menu into the different meats and types of dishes which made it a lot easier to decide. The prices of the mains varied quite a bit, between £10-15 each. We ordered the ‘sticky chicken stir fry’ and the ‘tropical jungle curry’ which were again both very tasty!

Per person, including drinks and two courses the meal cost was around the £30 mark – so it is a bit more on the pricey side.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Giggling Squid for a delicious Thai dinner. Particularly for a treat or a special occasion!
