Bristol's Motion set to re-open on April 16
By Greg Evans, Digital Music Editor
The venue announced on social media that it plans to officially re-open for open-air events on April 16.
The announcement comes following the release of the government's plans to cautiously ease lockdown restrictions in England over the next few months.
Posting on Facebook this afternoon, the venue stated that: 'Everyone at Motion H.Q. has been working on a reopening plan for a while, and after the last government's announcements, we are feeling more optimistic than ever.'
According to the government's official Roadmap Out of Lockdown, the opening of hospitality venues for outdoor service will be permitted from April 12, but this is dependent on data from the easing of previous restrictions.
Motion is among many Bristol venues welcoming the news, given recent research by The Night Time Industries Association estimating that 50 per cent of UK venues are in at least three months rent arrears.
