Lakota offers its premises to Bristolians in need

Bristol's community groups have been invited to use the club's building until it reopens in May
Bristol club Lakota announced yesterday that its premises are available to charities and organisations in need of space during the current coronavirus pandemic.
The usually jam-packed music venue will now be empty for at least the next two months, having closed two weeks ago due to the Government's new social distancing measures.
James Haggart, the club's managing director, said: 'It is a big space and it would be a shame for it to go to waste. We would like to help in any way we can, whether that’s having hospital beds or for it to be used as testing centre.'

The club has reached out to local homeless charities, the Army and Can Do Bristol, however, it has not yet found an organisation which wants to use the space.
