Applications are now open for the Senior Business Team in charge of taking Epigram into its 32nd year.
Do you want to be involved in the University of Bristol's only student newspaper, even though you're not so into writing? Have some savvy business skills you want to develop? Want to try something new?
The Business Team focuses on the running of Epigram as a society, organising socials, handling finances and contacting professional businesses to get our papers into print.
No prior experience is needed to apply, just an enthusiastic attitude!

Role descriptions:
Managing Director - Oversees running of Epigram, in charge of maintaining organisation between Business Teams and leading the logistical running of the paper. Needs to be an enthusiastic leader, well organised and innovative with new ideas to create new solutions to problems the paper might face.
Head of Comms - Leader of communication between Business and Editorial team. Needs to be a team player, well organised and have an understanding of both Editorial and Business. Secretary to the society, they lead minute taking and administrative aspects of the society.
Head of Finance - In charge of overseeing financial running of Epigram. Needs to have prior experience with excel and proficiency in working with numbers. Role includes thinking of innovative solutions to maintain the financial running of Epigram, applying for grants, making key decisions regarding the future of Epigram.
Head of Ads and Sales - In charge of securing the main source of funding for the newspaper. Runs a large team of Ads and Sales executives who work to contact both local and national businesses to secure advertisements both in print and online. Needs to be a fast thinker, approachable, keen at problem solving and committed.
Head of Marketing - In charge of online and in print campaigns to improve the visibility and talkability of Epigram on campus. Needs to be ready to be build creative campaigns and bring new and exciting ideas to the table. In charge of social calendar, distribution, online marketing campaigns and larger events such as the end of year ball and give it a go sessions.
Distribution Manager - In charge of delivery of newspaper across campus, thinking of new and innovative ways to get students to pick up the paper! Works closely with Head of Marketing and external advertising agencies.
