Will you be grieving next summer’s Glastonbury festival as it undergoes its dreaded fallow year? Well, ‘Dry Your Eyes’ as Bristol Sounds is ready to help you out of that slump. The 2026 festival has been confirmed to take place on what was meant to be Glasto’s weekend, and you ‘Could Well Be In’ for one of its most impressive lineups to date.
Returning to the harbourside on the 26th and 27th of June 2026, the beloved open-air festival will continue to host a menagerie of fantastic acts, having big shoes to fill after last year’s exceptional bill hosting the likes of Supergrass, Kaiser Chiefs, Texas, The Fratellis, and Olly Murs.
Today, the festival announces its first two headliners of the weekend: synth-pop enthusiasts, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, and UK garage hall-of-famers, The Streets.

Fresh off the back of their biggest tour to date, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark are set to headline Friday 26th of June. Known best for tracks such as ‘If You Leave’ and ‘Enola Gay’, OMD are praised as key players in the rise of electronic music in the 80s. The duo, comprised of Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys, are anticipated to transform the docks into a synth-infused dancefloor to kick the weekend off with a bang.
The following day will welcome UK prized possessions, The Streets, to the amphitheatre - an elating prospect for those who, like many others, have their first albums placed among the best to come out of the 2000s. Their 2004 masterclass, A Grand Don’t Come For Free, will be performed in full for the first time ever, withholding anthems that elevated the British hip-hop game to new heights, with ‘Fit but You Know It’ and ‘Dry Your Eyes’ to name a few.

Presale tickets go live at 10AM on Wednesday 15th October, and general sale at 10AM on Friday 17th October. A link to sign up for presale can be found here.
With plenty more acts to be announced, Bristol Sounds has already cemented its place in next summer’s festival season to be one of the most exciting - the perfect fit for that Glastonbury-shaped hole in your heart.
