Canons Marsh Amphitheatre promises more high energy, indie throwback acts to kickstart your summer dancing ‘just for the hell of it!’ Excitement had already been sparked through the first round of lineup announcement, with lively indie act Supergrass kickstarting the festival on Wednesday 25th June with their 'I Should Coco' 30th anniversary tour.
They are followed by the sing-along Kaiser Chiefs on Thursday 26th of June, promising hit album Employment in full. Finally, pop icon Olly Murs finishes the festival on Sunday 29th, promising a night of sing-along classics.
Now, the second phase of artists has also been released. On Friday 27th, Scottish alternative rock band Texas will be paying Bristol a visit to play a night of instantly recognisable hits like 'Black Eyed Boy', 'Say What You Want' and 'I Don’t Want a Lover'.
The band played Glastonbury 2023, making them no strangers to the summertime festival stage, and frontwoman Sharleen Spiteri’s powerful vocals will surely make this a night to remember.
Saturday 28th June is shaping up to be a day for the ages, with Sounds announcing an all-day event from 15:00-23:00. The lineup consists of Welsh hip-hop group Goldie Lookin Chain; bringing hits such as 'Guns Don’t Kill People, Rappers Do'.
The rappers are joined by female fronted Britpop band Sleeper, who boast Liverpudlian indie-alternative '90s classics such as 'Cast', while the renowned Stereo MC’s will 'Step It Up' and bring the energy to Bristol Harborside.
Last but certainly not least, The Fratellis will end the night with a high energy indie set. John, Barry and Mince Fratelli will perform songs which will take you back to the 2000s, 20 years on from their founding.
Costello Music’s 'Whistle For The Choir', 'Henrietta' and 'Chelsea
Dagger' will have our Harborside jumping and dancing well into the night.
