The update confirmed the closure of all University-run sports facilities and all of its libraries, except the Arts and Social Sciences Library, for the foreseeable future.

Pro Vice Chancellor Sarah Purdy, urged students to keep checking the University's advice and infromation page and that if students need support of any kind they can contact coronavirus-student@bristol.ac.uk.

She signed off the email by saying, 'As so many of us study remotely or find ourselves in isolation, let’s make the effort to reach out to each other, to offer support where we can and stay connected. Take care of yourselves...'

Sarah Purdy will be hosting a Facebook Live event 2-3pm this Friday where further infromation concerning next academic term will be confirmed.
