As an attempt to break the January blues, I visited No.4 Clifton Village, a restaurant of The Rodney Hotel situated in the centre of Clifton. No.4 Clifton Village currently offer a 'January madness' menu, offering 2 courses for £10.
Upon entry, we were greeted with friendly staff, who offered to take our coats and show us to our table. We were even asked whether we wanted to be taken to the bar to purchase some drinks beforehand. The dining area was a small yet warm and sophisticated seating, with candles dotted around the room.
As part of the deal, you could either choose from a starter and main, or a main and desert from the a la carte menu. I opted for a starter and main (due to having a savory tooth). For started, I went for a chili crab cake, with tomato salsa. This was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a fluffy and light interior.

For the main, I chose the pork escalope, with capers, char-grilled leeks and potato. Despite the apparently smaller portion size, this dish was surprisingly filling and rich. The presentation was marvelous and all together provided a lovely dining experience.

Not only is this deal an absolute bargain, but is fully-flexible and applies 7-days-a-week for the whole of January!
