The University of Bristol’s Botanic Garden will be hosting its annual Easter Sculpture Festival this weekend.
Among returning artists, the festival will also display works from new faces: Pam Moolman (sculpture), Flora De Ospina (stained glass), Laura Fox (lino cut) and Sarah Hanrahan (fine art).
Epigram are amused that some of the artists listed above coincidentally have nature-themed names!
Visitors can also enjoy free demonstrations and mini workshops which will run across the four days, including wheel demonstrations and have-a-go sessions with ceramicist Tez Roberts.
Artworks featuring numerous artists will be displayed throughout the garden, café, and Linnaeus Study Room.
The Chandos Deli Café will be open throughout the festival. A plant sale will also run across all four days.
Nick Wray, Curator of the Botanic Garden, expressed his delight that the garden will once again host the festival:
“The aim of the festival is to showcase the harmony between human creativity and the natural world with unique hand-crafted sculptures, interactive workshops and family-friendly activities.”

Students do not require booking for free tickets. Entry is £5 for University of Bristol staff and alumni and tickets can be booked here.
