Police appeal for information in the search for missing Bristol student Olisa Odukwe

Avon and Somerset Police are urging anyone who has information to call 999 or 101, quoting reference 5221094539.
A search is continuing for the missing University of Bristol student, Olisa Odukwe, who was last seen leaving his house in Redland in the early hours of Saturday morning (1 May) .
Friends of Olisa Odukwe have been circulating more information on social media regarding his last known movements, reporting that he left his home in Redland around 7am on his bike (Saturday 1 May), and that he left without his wallet or his passport. It is not known whether he had his phone with him.
An Instagram account posting updates on Olisa has asked people to search along Ashton Court and Leigh Woods today (4 May), following the route which his phone records show that he walked the day before he went missing.
The second-year Mechanical Engineering student has been described as around 6-foot tall with box braids.
Avon and Somerset Police have said in a statement that they are ‘extremely concerned for the welfare of Olisa Odukwe.’
A spokesperson from the Police has said: ‘Olisa, 20, was last seen at his address in the Redland area of Bristol in the early hours of Saturday 1 May.
‘He was wearing a grey YG hoodie with a picture of a black goat on the front, and either black shorts or black joggers.
‘He may have a black racer style bike with him, with a black saddle and blue tape on the handlebars.’

In a statement released earlier today the University of Bristol said: ‘We are working closely with the police in their search for one of our students, Olisa Odukwe, last seen leaving his home in Redland on Saturday morning.
‘We ask the public and University community to be alert and contact the police if they think they have seen him.’
‘The police have responded with commendable speed and have devoted considerable resource to finding Olisa. We have been in contact with them on a regular and ongoing basis, and we continue to liaise and work with them.
‘We are supporting Olisa’s friends and family and would urge any students who have concerns themselves or for their friends, to contact our wellbeing services or access support 24/7 by texting 85268 (Shout).’
