The British Universities Lifesaving Clubs’ Association student championship took place at Hengrove Park Leisure Centre on the 29th February and the 1st March. Teams from around the country, as well as two Greek universities, competed over the weekend in various lifesaving events.
In true Bristruth fashion, Epigram sport decided to review a variety of gyms that Bristol has to offer. Including some of the most common student gyms, Puregym, Anytime Fitness, David Lloyd and, of course, the university’s gym itself.
On Sunday 16th, the Bristol Bears Community Foundation teamed up with the University of Bristol’s Pitstop project to put on a variety of activities for over 45 young people
Bristol’s first team have won the Western 1A League after a 1-0 victory away to Southampton 1s. The team will enter the promotion play-offs in a bid to cap off an impressive season that has seen them win the title with one game to spare.
With Christmas, New Year and exams out the way, we can now turn our attention to the array of sport taking place in Bristol over the next year, as the city’s teams look to write their own story for the coming decade.
Bristol’s first team put on an impressive show during the second half of their recent fixture against Bath’s second team as they went two from two at the start of this season and stated their intentions to the rest of the league.
