Bristol Uni Sport and the Students’ Union have announced a new bus route from Tyndall Avenue to Coombe Dingle Sports Complex, which will run all day every Wednesday from 19th October onwards.
Free transport to Coombe Dingle has been repeatedly pushed for by Bristol SU Officer teams over the years.
Now, whether you’re a student or a member of staff, a player or a spectator, you have access to a free shuttle bus for any BUCS Wednesday home game.
Lucy Matthews, Sport and Student Development Officer, expressed her support:
'I am delighted to be able to deliver on a bus to and from Coombe Dingle for both players and spectators of the Wednesday Games. It has been an aim for different Sport and Student Development Officers for a long time but now we can ensure that our students are getting to and from fixtures for free ensuring that ultimately their safety is prioritised.'
There are 53 spaces per bus, available only for University of Bristol students and staff, and the service will run back and forth between Tyndall Avenue and the Sports Complex with no additional stops. In keeping with the BUCS travel behaviour policy, alcohol will not be permitted on board.
