Live Reporting: Faniki Deche, Sports Editor, Mihai Roșca, Sports Subeditor, Rachel Shortall, Second Year, Philosophy and English, Siân Clarke, Second Year Ancient History, Ava Featon, First Year English Literature and Yusuf Yiğit Topçu, First Year Theatre and Performance Studies.

Epigram Sports is at the Prospect Building, where 30 fighters will be going toe to toe to prove themselves as ultimate fighting machines! To provide you with the best coverage Rachel and I are analysing the fights and recording the results, Faniki and Siân are backstage getting the "scoop" while Yusuf and Ava are snapping photos and catching reactions ringside. We want to thank The Fighter for granting us exclusive access to their event- none of this would be possible without them. May the best warrior win!

💡
We end the night on a draw. Was this a questionable decision?
Round 3, "both are exhausted and sloppy" says Sian.
Round 2, It is possible that in their close encounters Coxy has hit Nadav on the back of the head. As the ref tell him off, Nadav can be seen leaning on the ropes with his head down towards the crowd. How will this play out later?
The final fight does not dissapoint. Looking at them you'd think the much taller and heavier Nadav would have it in the bag, but no, Coxy has disabled Nadav tools and charged in. Nadav tries to clinch, Coxy uses the opportunity to land haymakers on his enemy's head. Coxy's stocky build allows him to easily wrestle Nadav on the ropes. He's not used to this.

FIGHT 15 - Nadav ‘The Iron Dome’ Jacobs vs Coxy

💡
Blue by split decision! "Let's go party!"
Round 3 - Both fighters refuse to yield and fight on until the bell tolls - this one's up to the judges...
23:05 onwards- Round 1 and 2 are a hug-fest. While swinging wide for each other's heads, the girls manage to entangle themselves up in each other's arms.

FIGHT 14 - Talia ‘Pain Train’ Peleg vs Lieske ‘Lights Out’ Oomen

Amelie's supporters: “She’s absolutely amazing she’s flipping smashing it, never a doubt in my mind”
💡
23:03- Results: Blue nabs that win. We can only describe their clash as a slugfest. We just wanted it to end, the punches just kept landing.

FIGHT 13 - ‘Jab It Jolly’ vs Louisa ‘Lightning’ Yorke

Charlo's supporters in the crowd were ready to sing his praises after that impressive victory - "He had his opponent on the ropes from the first minute. Never doubted him for a minute. Massive dub"
💡
22:47- What's the verdict going to be? Before we hear the answer the announcer once again begs the crowd to stop throwing things into the ring. Seriously guys? Maybe it was because of all the blood but Charlo marked his territory and grabbed the crown.
The final round, Charlo's nose is bleeding! How many does that make now? Wait, Mohammed's is too. In fact, he's blooding so much worse.
Round 2, Mohammed lunges to land a straight left, Charlo copies!
22:37- Round 1, The crowd is biased in Charlo's favour. Will Mohammed be able to face this extra challenge?

FIGHT 12 - The Honey Bagder vs Mohammed ‘The Warrior’ Sharif

💡
Round 3 turned into a very very close battle. But Red just about managed to stay ahead to snap the Split Decision.
Round 2, This round is turning into a contest of who can push the hardest. As the bell rings to indicate 10 seconds left, Red unleashes a flurry of 1-2s landing square on Blue's head.
22:25- Round 1, Time to find out if the ‘brute’ strength of Lucy Brent in the red corner is enough to avoid a ‘K.O’ from Emily Korniczky in the blue. We don't know if it's the camera above them, but it looks like Blue's getting wobbled. Oh, now blue's doing the wobbling and the bell rings.
The break is over, back to work.

FIGHT 11 - Lucy ‘The Brute’ Brent vs Emily ‘K.O’ Korniczky

{Tati ‘The Terminator’ post-fight} ‘I'm feeling so good on a high right now so good so rewarding’ [Emily. Ring girl.] ‘Fun but scary cause you’re in front of 800 people. But I did it because my friend’s fighting’
Chases supporters - "Chase fought way better than Sergei, he’s an absolute legend and fought like one too"
Chase's cousin: "Chase worked incredibly hard and deserved everything he got in the fight. He worked extremely hard and outboxed his opponent and deserved to win the fight."
Ellie's friend: "she was amazing she was strong it was intense and she killed it she's trained so hard and she absolutely smashed it and we all love her and can't wait for her to have a drink because she's been so disciplined for so long."
Keira's friends - “Keira did us so proud. No matter the result she is a winner in our eyes”
Moon’s supporters - “He delivered some absolutely massive hits and has done Wales proud!”

While you wait for the next fight read these comments:

FIGHT 11 - Lucy ‘The Brute’ Brent vs Emily ‘K.O’ Korniczky

22:00- Another short interval. As promised, Bristol Dance make their way to the stage.
💡
Kam-Ikaze Liddar grabs the victory! He's a humble winner, he respectfully shakes the hands of his coach and opponent. "Let's goooo!"
Round 3, both are swinging wide. They no longer care about taking damage they're going all out. This is what the crowd wants to see, we can hear their praise. The taller Moon is getting somewhere through his use of 1-2s.
Round 2, After another slow start, Liddar finds his rhythm and sends a combo flying to Moon's head. Finally, we're getting somewhere.
21:48- Round 1, two very careful guys, it's like they're afraid to get hit. Not much happens and the crowd is doozing off, come on fellas.

FIGHT 10 - Kam-Ikaze Liddar vs Kieran ‘Finish Too Soon’ Moon

“Great fight but the opponent was a higher weight and Keira’s punches were too low.” Fight winner Stopps admitted in the aftermath that she was ‘More stressed about the walk-out’ than ‘about the boxing’ and she ‘can’t wait to have a drink’
Don’t be misled by this warm and cuddly image, this was a fierce fight.
💡
21:43- The results are in, Ellie wins by Unanimous Decision.
Skipping to Round 3, Ellie dominates, breaks Keira's nose and pummels her around the ring. `
21:30- Round 1, Keira in Red, Ellie in Blue. Like many of the duos before them, these girls are good friends in real life. They seem to be evenly matched, when either ones lands a headshot it's able to snap the receiver's head back!

FIGHT 9 - Kiera ‘Silence Her’ Southworth vs Ellie ‘One Shot’ Stopps

💡
Chase shocks the world.
Round 3, Chase is not giving up though!! He's willing to get one to give one. We realise that Sergei is also a Southpaw, resulting in them jabbing each other simultaneously several times. This looks like a Sergei victory.
Round 2, Chase is playing this one a bit smarter, he's staying away and picking his spots. Both boxers are obviously tired, props to them for having the heart. Though Checkmate is maintain the distance, Sergei still has the advantage being able to use his superior reach to find his target.
21:18- Round 1, Let’s find out if the ‘Russian Concussion’ in the red corner will get a knockout or if ‘Checkmate’ in the blue can outmanoeuvre his opponent. The Russian starts of strong and overpowers Chase throughout the round. Will Chase figure a way out of this situation.

FIGHT 8 - Sergei ‘The Russian Concussion’ Bjelica vs Chase ‘Checkmate’ Calvert

💡
The results: Tati wins by 2 rounds. "I said I was gonna fucking do it and I fucking did it!" she screams.
Round 3, it's really hard to say who won this round. The anticipation is building up!
Round 2, it's a back and forth slugfest. Neither is giving up. Bea, like a feline is making herself smaller to then pounce on Tati.
Tati’s supporters are showing no signs of concern - “No doubt in our mind she’s going to win”, “Absolutely never doubted her and her mindset. She has this in the BAG!”
21:05- Round 1, Will Bea the Beast in red maul the competition, or can Tati the Terminator in blue put an end to her opponent? Bea's name is very fitting. She has that hungry look in her eyes. However, it's her own blood she's tasting not Tatti's- her nose is bleeding!

FIGHT 7 - Bea The Beast vs Tati The Terminator

Some fans of the ‘Red Bully’ appear also to be trying their hands as lyricists, ‘We love you Kier we do. We love you Kier we do. We love you Kier we do. Oh Kier we love you’ can be heard booming from the crowd.
💡
A split decision draw, both guys look disappointed as their hands are raised at the same time. Blue says that his opponent "is a lovely boy" Aww nice to know friendships haven't been broken.
Round 3- We're unclear on who's blood it was but we guess it was red's. Blue tries to pursue his victim but finds difficulty doing so, though injured the Redeemer can still pack a punch.
Round 2- Ava, our correspondent ringside reports getting sprayed with blood. We tried getting a photo of it but unfortunately she wiped it off before she could show us...
Blue walking back to his corner in confidence
20:50 Round 1- The biggest guys so far. Considering his massive shape, Reeder Red manages to dodge, until the Red Bully in blue(I know right...) cracks him on the nose causing bleeding. In response, Red lunges forward but is stopped by the referee and is warned not to hit the back of the head.
Something to look forward to at 10pm: ‘It’s the first time doing the fighter. We’re very grateful to do it. There’s a lot more Bristol students around so we wanna show what Bristol Dance is about.’ - Stella, Dance Society.
20:45- The break is over! The crowd’s arms are wide to welcome Mattan ‘The Redeemer’ to the red corner against ‘The Red Bully’ in blue… will being forced to wear blue make ‘The Bully’ see red?

FIGHT 6 - Mattan ‘The Redeemer’ Davis vs Kier ‘The Red Bully’ Churchill

Bristol Jets start the break. Emotions were running high, this is what they said before their performance: ‘We’re very excited to go perform. We’ve been working so hard and we’re hoping to put on a good show.’ -Eowyn
🤗
20:30- We get a break(20:45 update- it was really short!)
Millie’s friends: “Really good fight, good contest. So incredibly proud of Millie!"
💡
Round 2- Despite facing adversity in the first round, Doc Oc wins by referee stoppage.
20:20- Round 1, This is what Ellie's friends had to say about her: "Ellie will not stop. She'll never stop!!!!" Will she live up to the expectations? Milly(Cumdog) in red makes use of the "clinch" to stop Allen from advancing, at one point even managing to knock her headgear off her head.

FIGHT 5 - Crumdog Millionaire vs ‘Doc Oc’ Allen

Red resting in preparation for Round 3
💡
20:15- Round 3, Red gets another count and it ends in a TKO. Well done Levi for pushing through and beating the odds! In his post-fight interview he said his opponent was tough, and we believe, he's red in the face and barely breathing.
Round 2- Although much bigger, James gets a count from the ref early in the round. This round easily goes to Levi. He kept pushing James around and into the ropes landing powerful blows.
20:06- Round 1. The Crusades continue! Has James in the red learnt anything from history or will he be once again repelled? That’s for him and Levi ‘Maccabee’ Brown in the blue corner to find out next. Levi in blue, being the smaller fighter works combos, going to the body then the head. Red's leading hooks seem to be working, until they don't. Levi's technique is amazing, he's got head movements and knows how to find his angles.

FIGHT 4 - James ‘The Crusader’ Pilgrim vs Levi ‘The Maccabee’ Brown

💡
20:03- Lily Fisher secures a Unanimous Decision win!
Round 3- Both fighters appear to be evenly matched, however by the end Maansi can be seen walking back to her corner looking defeated.
Round 2- Maansi displays a high guard and keeps her distance, probably a good idea.
19:55- Round 1, Maansi in the red got knocked down but came back swinging. "King" Fisher showed better accuracy, landing consecutive straights to the head.
FIGHT 3 - Maansi ‘The Menace’ Gupta vs Lily ‘The King’ Fisher
💡
19:50 FIRST ROUND TKO! Paddy was in fact, right to gamble.
FIGHT 2 - Paddy Power vs Corbyn The Hadler Hammer

FIGHT 1 - Amber ‘Punch-Em’ Patel vs Evie Wright Hook

💡
Amber gets the split decision win! Amber said that she felt very tired and was up for a "pint". Well deserved Amber, well deserved.
Round 3- Evie in Blue uses her longer reach to keep Amber at bay but she's persistent. Amber gets overwhelmed by a barrage of punches to the head and the referee helps her readjust her headgear. The crowd continues to chant her name. Amber got the last hit but it's difficult to say who won.
Round 2- Crowd starts chanting "AMBER! AMBER! AMBER!" This proves helpful, Amber manages to punch Evie into the ropes just as the round finishes.
19:33 Round 1- Both girls aim for the head. Having the TV behind them showing their fight make the viewing experience so much better. It's difficult to say who's got the edge.
Even after 4 fight nights, we still get excited when we see fighters creatively use their names to put fear into their opponents. Personally, I would have struggled coming up with something to match with Wright, but Evie has more than managed! But will she live up to her name or will it be Amber who gets the green light?

19:25- And so it begins. The presenter makes his charismatic presence known.
19:21-It's filling up. We believe it should be starting soon!
18:55 - With five minutes until doors close the music is booming, the crowd is growing, and the excitement is building - this has all the ingredients of a night to remember.
18:41 - Maddie (left) past winner of Fight Night 2024, has voiced her support for Sergi ‘The Russian Concussion’ BJelica in no uncertain terms - “If Sergei doesn’t win I’ve lost all hope” she joked with us.
18:40 - Friends of Nadav ‘The Iron Dome’ assure us has been giving this his all - “He’s been training very hard, he’s been coming home every night knackered from the training”
18:35- Eden (top right) supporting, Lieske ‘Lights Out’ Oomen, "She’s an absolute unit, no doubt she’ll absolutely smash it. Winner through and through."
18:31 - Doc Oc’ Allen’s trusted friends appeared slightly less optimistic when speaking to Yusuf, telling him, “We love her, she’s going to lose” and, “We have full faith in her and our full faith is that she’s gonna get knocked out in the first round” - though not all reports are so pessimistic, supporter Sai told us, “weighing in at 70 kg and 5”8 Doc Oc is sparking Crum Dog Millionaire”
18:15- Not so much fighting talk as wholesome support from Beth (left), supporting Lucy ‘The Brute’ Brent, “I think she’s going to batter her, in the nicest way possible” she told Ava. Nancy (right), supporting Amelie - or ‘Jab it Jolly’ as she’s known in the ring made sure to voice her confidence in advance of her upcoming clash - “Amelie is going to completely smash it. I don’t see an outcome where they don’t win”
18:15- Epigram has been here for over an hour preparing... It's starting to get exciting, fans are crowding in and the music is good. See what everyone has to say.
