Tributes pour in for 26 year-old 'loved by everyone'

Police investigation ongoing as Luis’ sister confirms he 'has been found' in social media post.

The announcement comes after a weekend-long search effort that mobilised over 100 officers. Luis was last seen in CCTV footage in Eastgate Retail Park at 3.30am in the early hours of Friday morning after leaving the Jam Jar venue in St Jude’s.

Avon and Somerset Police say that Luis left the club in an Uber, before calling 999 during the cab journey and reporting that he had been 'drugged.' Attempts made by emergency services to call Luis back went unanswered.

Final footage shows Luis discarding his bag behind a bush and running through the Ikea carpark towards nearby Burger King, with police speculating that he was in 'distress'.

Writing on Instagram, Luis’s sister, Judo Olympian Lubjana Piovesana, said Luis was 'loved by everyone.'

While questions remain surrounding Luis’ disturbing final movements, Lubjana has asked that speculation about the cause of Luis’ death be halted during the police investigation.

Search efforts continue for UWE student Sebastian Sailes, 21, who went missing in an unrelated incident outside the Black Horse Pub in Chippenham earlier that same night. Sebastian is described as a white male, about 5f10 inches (178cm) tall, with a slim build and last seen wearing a grey jumper, blue jeans and a beige fur lined coat.

His family have described his disappearance as out of character amid concerns surrounding nearby bodies of deep water. Wiltshire Police have urged anyone who may have sighted Sebastian to come forward.

Police searching for Sebastian found another body in the River Avon on Monday 3 March, but identified the body as a man in his 70s, not the missing UWE student. The man’s next of kin have been informed.
