Education has been on a slow course to normality since 8 March.
Bristol University has announced that blended learning will be ‘resumed for all students from 19 April’, provided the Government allows students to return to campus.
The University will also open additional campus facilities such as sports centres and libraries ‘to the extent that Government restrictions permit.’
It is expected that a minimum of seven days’ notice will be given by the state for the permitted return.
Students will not be required to return after 19 April, unless they were studying a programme which called for on-site attendance from the beginning of the academic year.
Support will be available for international students returning to the UK. A transfer service has been set up between Heathrow Airport and the University, and student rates at local hotels have been negotiated. Financial support is also available for those travelling from overseas.
However, the University cannot support testing for students wishing to travel overseas and back during the spring vacation.
