Stabbing incident outside New Bridewell

On Sunday evening, a man was stabbed in the back outside New Bridewell student accommodation.

Police were called to respond to an assault and robbery taking place on Nelson Street at around 8:20pm on Sunday 3 March.

Having suffered a stab wound to his back, a man was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A police investigation is under way and it is currently unknown whether the victim was a student.
