Preview / The Bristol Germ: Chapter II launch @ Exchange

Oliver Wilde, MXLX and Kayla Painter play the Exchange tomorrow night (24/03/18) at the launch of The Bristol Germ's second issue

With the demise of the NME's print edition a few weeks ago, claims about print music journalism being dead were being bandied about left right and centre. But anyone who really cares about print journalism knows that isn't true - and one of those people is Bristol student, LICE frontman and founder of The Bristol Germ, Alastair Shuttleworth.

The first issue was launched at The Loco Klub at the end of November, and since then has been invited to the Music Expo 18 convention with Michael Eavis, stocked in Rough Trade NYC and has almost completely sold out.

Come down to the Exchange this Saturday for the launch of 'Chapter II: New Ground's Acquired', headlined by stalwart figure on the Bristol scene, Oliver Wilde. If the chance to experience his celestial 'Lo-fi, Glitch Tinsel, Alternative Dad Rock Fizz' isn't exciting enough, it's his first performance with his new band. The line-up also features MXLX - performing after a hiatus last year - and Kayla Painter, with her full audio-visual exploratory electronic show.

Don't miss The Germ acquire the ground that is the Exchange this Saturday.
