The Balloon Bar has launched a summer art exhibition featuring the work of Hong Kong artist, Gloria Wong.

The exhibition launched this Monday and will run until Friday the 29th of July. Pieces on display include portrait work, Bristol landmarks and two stand-out landscape series of Epping Forest in London. The exhibition is open to the public free of charge.

The exhibition, entitled Life in England, is the artist's third exhibition and first since relocating to Bristol. Wong says: 'When I arrived in London in 2019, I only had my charcoal and watercolours with me.' The exhibition is designed to capture her experiences since leaving Hong Kong - exploring a new home, longing for her cats, and her desires to travel during the Covid-19 lockdown.

The Balloon Bar is located in the Richmond Building, home to the University of Bristol's Student Union. The bar is currently operating on summer hours and is open from 9am to 4pm.
