University encourages use of summer wellbeing services after student death

The University confirmed the death of an undergraduate student in a statement earlier today, and are encouraging students to seek support through their ongoing wellbeing services.

The University confirmed the death of an undergraduate student in a statement earlier today, and are encouraging students to seek support through their ongoing wellbeing services.

The University continues to offer support services out of term time and more details can be found on their website‌.

The University provided the following statement: ‘We have received the very sad news that an undergraduate student has died‌.

‘There is nothing harder for our community than the death of one of our students. We have offered our support to the student’s family and friends, and our thoughts and sympathies are with them all‌.

‘We encourage any members of our community who are affected by this news to make they contact University wellbeing services for help, even if they are away from Bristol for the summer holidays, as well as seeking support from their own friends or family.’

The cause of death is unknown at this time.‌‌
